Connect to a Windows server

Connecting to a Windows server using Remote desktop is typically a simple and straightforward process. Open up the  Remote desktop connection window and enter your servers IP address, which can be found on the server list page.

Authentication

Default admin user name for Windows servers are "Administrator", note the capitalized A. Your password can be found on the server management page, where you found the IP address. No domain or work group needs to be specified.

GNU+Linux client

GNU+Linux users can use tools like xrdp, or if you are on Gnome there is a tool called "Gnome connections" which allows you to connect to Windows server machines over remote desktop.

Note! Windows servers can take up to one hour before finishing installation and coming online. Please be patient if you can't connect as soon as the server get's it's IP address.
