How billing works

All payments must be made in advance prior to use our service. Deposits are added up into your account balance after eventual tax (and fees)* has been deducted. The amount you see is therefore the full amount available to spend on cloud resources.

  • From January 2021, no fees will be deducted from any payment.

Discounts

Discounts are treated as an additional bonus to your final balance. This means for example: if you deposit $100, and have 20% discount. Your final balance (before tax) will be $120. VAT is then deducted from EU customers.

VAT does not apply to bonuses (discounts) or affiliate payments. Hence, in the example above, if your location is Sweden (25% VAT). You would deposit $100, get $20 in bonus from the 20% discount. And then pay $25 in VAT. Leaving a final balance of $95, fully taxed and ready to use.

Hourly billing

All resources are billed on a hourly basis from a pre-paid balance, please observe that some resources can only be created if your account holds enough funds to keep them active for a certain amount of time.

This will not spend the funds immediately, only reserve them until spent or until the resource has been removed. The reason for this is to allow the system to send out low balance reminders in time, as a late payment may result in data loss.

How is the monthly price estimated?

The monthly price is an estimation based on the hourly price multiplied by 730 hours. This is because there are 8760 hours in a year on average. For accurate prices it's therefore preferable to use the hourly prices for reference.

Can I withdraw from my balance?

Yes, under some conditions.

Unused funds can be returned on request. Please observe that this is not the same as a refund.
